The Orb's "Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld" was essentially one of if not THE first ambient house album (it at least inspired other artists and (somewhat) popularized the genre - "Little Fluffy Clouds" is a very appealing track). It is, admittedly, a little uneven/5(98).

The Orb's legendary debut LP gets a 4LP re-issue to mark its 25th anniversary. An odyssey of ambient and dance the record has many stand outs such as 'Little Fluffy Clouds' making it one of the few places where psych and dance properly collide.

So instead of getting the original Little Fluffy Clouds single (which was made up of the Orb's remixes of the track) available in the UK, the US got this one. Here's a breakdown: 1 Little Fluffy Clouds (Dance Mix MK 1 Edit) () 2 Little Fluffy Clouds (Inner Master Mix) () Remix - Coldcut 3 Little Fluffy Clouds (Cumulo Nimbus Mix) ()/5(5).

Little Fluffy Clouds / Outlands [VINYL] With Little Fluffy Clouds, the Orb defined the genre. Each track is woven around the sample of a girl talking about her childhood memories, and how the skies seemed so big where she grew up and were full of "little fluffy clouds". The music is trance-like and hypnotic yet seems to work on many levels/5(9).
